NARRATIVE TECHNOLOGIES
Workshop with Identity Problem Group

'Narrative technologies is a workshop presentation conducted by IP Group members: Łukasz Twarkowski (director), Bogumił Misala (composer) and Jakub Lech (visual artist). Its participants will explore how the emerging technologies and media practices can be used to form the new storytelling modes in theatre and performing arts.

Identity Problem Group is an interdisciplinary artistic collective, combining visual and performing arts as well as dramaturgy with architecture, video and sound art.

KANTOR/TECHNOLOGIES
A specially commissioned short documentary about theatre artist Tadeusz Kantor
 

Polish avant-garde artist Tadeusz Kantor was one of those who imagined his theatre as a memory machine – software for fixing the past. The only obstacle was the imperfect body of an actor.
In the movie by Ewa Hevelke and Michał Januszaniec, Kantor’s theatre strategies are presented in the context of the works of the contemporary artists incorporating new media into their practice, like Katie Mitchell, Rimini Protokoll collective, Rabih Mroué and 59 Productions company.

Akhila Krishnan discusses the opportunities and challenges of using multimedia technology in performing arts.

Akhila is a visual artist, film-maker and a senior assistant designer with 59 Productions.Credits include Night Train, Olympic Opening Ceremony, The Perfect American and The Baroque Story.

GRINDR: A LOVE STORY

BYOB and get your Saturday night started.
Enjoy a reading of a play about technology and sexuality followed by a multimedia show from Identity Problem Group.

Will smartphones change the way we love? Piotr Trojan’s new play is based on a series of authentic meetings arranged through a dating app Grindr.

DIP is an audiovisual performance, in which three random streams: word, music and image, provoke a perceptual game.
