Premiered March 22nd 2017, Project Arts Centre

“You say I’m aggressive when I don’t let you interrupt me. You say it’s in your nature to deserve more.
You say I’m exaggerating.
And you can say it because we keep letting you, we keep letting you in, we keep letting you invalidate us and infantilize us and institutionalize us. And you think it’s ok.
But not anymore."

A radically new retelling of the Orpheus and Eurydice myth – told from her side of hell on earth. Follow Eurydice on an epic music-theatre journey of love, rage and fury against cold political calculation.
This visually stunning work explodes the classical myth into a highly visceral spectacle, unmasking the fakery of patriarchal society.
With live music composed by Jane Deasy and performed by Alex Petcu (Crash Ensemble), Éna Brennan, and Rachel NíChuinn (Dublin Laptop Orchestra), featuring projection design by Algorithm and scenic design by Ger Clancy.
